With tons of thanks to my uncle, who spent several hours here on Saturday tilling an old garden, we are beginning to plant a new garden.
Any suggestions? It's now waiting for inspiration, and for me to haul two kids to the local Home Depot garden center. I'm tempted to let Toby have free reign of the whole thing and just let him dump seeds where ever to see what happens. But that seems a bit indulgent when you actually see how big the plot is. So we'll shoot for some sort of order....

I'm so jealous! My favorites are hostas - but it looks from the pictures that there won't be a lot of shade in your garden. What about tiger lilies - they like sun, come back every year, come in a ton of colors, and are really pretty.
